Plumber

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Plumber to join a local authority’s repairs and maintenance team based in Barnsley. This role involves working on both void and occupied domestic properties. We’re looking for a Plumber experienced in repairs and maintenance on domestic properties. This is a stable, full-time role ideal for someone with social housing or council experience.

• Carry out responsive repair of domestic plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, and fittings.
• Diagnose and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, low water pressure, and heating problems.
• Repair domestic appliances connected to water supply.
• Carry out fault-finding and perform necessary corrective actions in line with safety regulations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure full-time hours Monday to Friday. The hourly pay rate for this role is £18.95 per hour (PAYE equivalent £16.26 inclusive of holiday). You will be working a standard 37‑hour week, with potential for overtime. An immediate start is available.

• Proven experience in Plumbing, ideally within social housing or council work
• Your own basic hand tools and PPE
• Full UK driving licence and NVQ Level2 or equivalent in Plumbing
