Up to £40,000 basic + overtime, travel & call-out payments

We are currently working with a well-established client who is looking for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer based in Yorkshire or the surrounding areas, with responsibility for servicing, maintaining, installing and commissioning fire and security systems across the Yorkshire & Manchester areas.
The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, small works, installation, commissioning and reactive call-outs on a range of fire and security systems at commercial and client sites throughout the region.
The role will involve:
- Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and security systems
- Carrying out small works and system modifications
- Installing new fire and security systems
- Commissioning and testing newly installed systems
- Diagnosing and resolving faults
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
- Attending customer call-outs when required
- Completing service reports and relevant documentation
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
- Travelling as required
- Basic salary up to £40,000

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer and be confident working independently across customer sites.
You should have:
- Previous experience within the fire and/or security industry
- Experience with servicing, maintenance, small works, installation and commissioning
- Strong fault-finding and technical skills
- A professional approach and good customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A full UK driving licence
- Relevant industry qualifications or experience would be advantageous
