Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction for Dental Materials Lecture (DEN
209)
for the Fall 2026 semester with classes held Mondays 10:00 - 11:50 am.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Demonstrated teaching experience.
  • Earned Master's Degree in dental hygiene or related field or Dental Degree.
  • Recent professional experience in the field utilizing dental materials.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Previous experience teaching dental materials lecture / laboratory.
  • Previous experience teaching in a community college setting.
  • Evidence of current teaching methodologies, including experiences with media, innovative use of evolving instructional technologies in the classroom, and the use of learning management systems such as Moodle.
  • Skill in implementing active and collaborative learning strategies.
  • Ability to work cooperatively to calibrate all laboratory sections.
  • Experience with digital workflow i.e. scanning/Cerec.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION
:
Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale (currently $3,024 for 2-credit course). Clinical/lab content will be paid at hourly rate, pursuant to the relevant contract. Part-time, non-benefited DCE/MCCC Unit position.
