Job DescriptionWe are seeking ELA educators who are passionate, dedicated, and excited about enacting changes that will improve learning outcomes for all of Barnstable’s grades 6 - 12 students through the implementation of our new shared curriculum, HMH Into Literature! This year’s ELA Curriculum Implementation Team will serve as a guiding coalition of educators representing diverse perspectives, responsible for driving continuous improvement and serving as leaders among your peers.
We are seeking team members who are reflective practitioners, are open to receiving non-evaluative feedback, refining instructional approaches and collaboratively analyzing samples of student work, remain solutions-oriented when faced with challenges, act as teacher-leaders with your colleagues, and those who will serve as change agents committed to the success of this initiative. As a team we will continue to build and share knowledge of best practices for research-informed instruction, support consistent implementation of the new instructional materials, and help to increase instructional coherence by turning new learning over to teacher teams during Common Planning or in Professional Learning Communities.
