Job Description
Performs routine manual work in public works recycling area and all other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma with one year of experience working at a solid waste facility; or any combination of education and experience
- Massachusetts Class D Drivers License
- General knowledge of solid waste procedures and operations
- Knowledge of recycling regulations at the local county and state level
- Ability to understand and carry out Solid Waste Division regulations
- Ability to perform moderate manual labor under varying weather conditions
- Ability to observe required safety precautions
- Ability to deal effectively with the general public
- Communication skills to deal with public and regulatory representatives for various recycling programs
