8)

Location: Barnstable, MA (covering Village Green & Yarmouth Commons)

Pay: $26.00 – $28.00/hour

About the Role

Vesta Corporation is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support operations across Village Green and Yarmouth Commons in Barnstable & Yarmouth, MA. In this role, you will work alongside the Property Manager to drive occupancy, oversee compliance, manage collections, and build strong resident relationships. You will also step in as the primary leader on-site when the Property Manager is away.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Recertifications: Prepare and process annual/interim recertifications, lease renewals, HAP requests, and required agency documentation (LIHTC, Section
    8).
  • Leasing & Marketing: Conduct application intakes, interview applicants, manage waitlists, show units, and execute neighborhood marketing to maintain full occupancy.
  • Operations & Collections: Post rent payments, manage late notices, track delinquencies, execute work orders in property software, and monitor service contractors.
  • Resident Relations: Deliver prompt customer service, address resident concerns, build community engagement, and lead resident retention programs.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Associate degree (or equivalent experience) plus 2+ years in property management, leasing, or occupancy roles.
  • Affordable Housing: Hands-on experience with LIHTC and/or Section 8 strongly preferred. COS or CPO certifications are a major plus.
  • Tech

    Skills:

    Proficiency in MS Office and property management software (
    Yardi preferred).
  • Requirements: Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record; successful background check and drug screen. Multilingual skills are a plus.
