Role as an Arbor Special Education Teacher:

As a Special Education Inclusion Teacher, you’ll play a critical role in fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your efforts will empower students with diverse needs to achieve their full potential.

Primary Responsibilities as a Special Education Teacher:
  • Collaborate with evaluation teams to conduct diagnostic assessments.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
  • Foster inclusive classroom environments by partnering with regular education teachers.
  • Chair Review and Annual Review Meetings to ensure student progress and goal alignment.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to students based on their IEPs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic student development.
Key Functions:
  • Conduct educational assessments for Annual Reviews and Re-evaluations.
  • Ensure timely and effective implementation of IEPs.
  • Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and documentation.
  • Facilitate open communication with parents, offering consultation and support.
  • Foster inclusive learning environments.
  • Encourage student participation and growth.
  • Empower students to reach their full potential through specialized instruction and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other education professionals to promote student success and integration.
