Pay: $23.00-$24.92/hour

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Stetson School is seeking an Aide / Behavioral Counselor I to provide direct behavioral and educational support to students with complex emotional and behavioral needs.

Working alongside teachers, clinical staff, and education leadership, you'll help create a safe, supportive classroom environment while teaching social skills, reinforcing positive behaviors, and helping students develop strategies for managing emotions and navigating daily challenges.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide ongoing behavioral support, supervision, and crisis management for students.
  • Help implement and monitor individualized behavioral and classroom management plans.
  • Support teachers in creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Teach and reinforce social skills, problem-solving, anger management, and positive behaviors.
  • Provide instructional and tutorial support to students under the direction of the teacher.
  • Maintain constant visual and auditory supervision of students and support safe transitions throughout the day.
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral incidents using approved, least-restrictive intervention techniques.
  • Document student behaviors, incidents, interventions, and other required information accurately and timely.
  • Lead and participate in recreational activities, house meetings, and other student programming.
  • Support daily routines, personal care, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Build positive relationships with students while consistently modeling dignity, respect, and appropriate behavior.
  • Participate in required training, team meetings, case reviews, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
