Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Financial Analyst

What You’ll Do- Own end-to-end payroll processing with accuracy, consistency, and care for a district of approximately 600 hourly and salaried employees (bi-weekly)
- Collaborate closely with HR/Finance Team to ensure seamless data flow
- Navigate payroll changes (new hires, promotions, terminations, benefits, compliance updates) with confidence
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for payroll-related questions—clear, patient, and approachable
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce risk
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- You’re a team-first collaborator—you communicate openly and value shared success
- You have a sharp eye for detail but never lose sight of the bigger picture
- You’re dependable, discreet, and deeply respectful of confidentiality
- You enjoy building strong cross-functional relationships and earning trust over time
- You stay cool under pressure and take pride in delivering work that’s right the first time
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in payroll processing (public or private school experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, regulations, and best practices, including 5 or more years of payroll experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement

- Pay range is $65,000 - $72,000, commensurate with experience
