Overview
The Contract Administration Bureau within the Agency of Transportation (AOT) is a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement in serving our internal and external customers. This position will serve as a Contracts Specialist in the Construction Contracting Unit which is responsible for prequalifying contractors to bid on construction projects and accurately and efficiently procuring and executing construction contracts and agreements for the Agency.
Construction contracting types range from traditional Design, Bid, Build contracts to various alternative contract methods including:
* Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (/IQ);
* Job Order Contracts (JOC);
* Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC);
* Progressive Design Build (PDB);
* Design Build (DB);
* Contractor Input During Design (CIDD),
* and Design, Build, Operate, and Maintain (DBOM or DBOOM).
The team is also responsible for processing ancillary agreements including utility, finance and maintenance, railroad flagging, temporary bridge, and interstate agreements.
The candidate should learn quickly and have the ability to multi-task with a keen eye for detail, and the ability work well both independently and within a team setting. This position requires the ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
