Armed Court Security Officer

Securitas seeks an Armed Court Security Officer to protect courts, staff, visitors, and assets. Responsibilities include access control, screening entrants, monitoring courtrooms and public areas, responding to emergencies, and enforcing security protocols. Officers conduct patrols, operate security equipment, prepare incident reports, and collaborate with law enforcement and court personnel. This role requires strict adherence to weapons safety, legal and procedural guidelines, and professional, respectful interaction with the public while upholding Securitas' mission of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.

Responsibilities

• Control access to court facilities and courtrooms
• Conduct security screenings of visitors, staff, and packages
• Monitor courtrooms, entrances, and public areas via patrol and surveillance
• Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and alarms following protocol
• Enforce security policies, procedures, and courtroom rules
• Operate security equipment such as metal detectors and X-ray machines
• Prepare accurate incident and activity reports
• Coordinate with law enforcement, court staff, and other security personnel
• Maintain weapons safety and readiness in accordance with regulations
• Provide professional, courteous customer service to the public and court users
