Join the Vermont Foodbank as an Operations Associate – CDL Driver and help bring food, hope and connection to Vermont communities. We’re seeking a dependable, safety-focused driver who wants more than a job, you want a mission.

What you’ll do:
  • Safely operate Foodbank vehicles across Vermont, local routes, home daily.
  • Load/unload, distribute food product, work with volunteers + staff to deliver service.
  • Engage with community members of diverse backgrounds, your role matters.
  • Support warehouse logistics: product storage, equipment movement, food reclamation.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse, Facilities and Community Impact teams.
What we’re looking for:
  • Valid CDL (Class B +) (Would consider providing CDL for ideal candidates)
  • Comfortable with lifting, loading, physical tasks.
  • Strong communicator, team player, self-motivated and safe.
  • Passion for community service, willingness to interact respectfully with our clientele.

Purpose:

This full-time position reports to the Logistics Supervisor and entitles employee to all benefits. The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: driving, distributing, loading, and unloading Vermont Foodbank vehicles safely at various communities in Vermont. In addition to these primary responsibilities, this position regularly interacts with community members with diverse backgrounds and stories. This position will provide support at multiple distribution sites across the state and will work alongside volunteers ensuring the safe handling of products and creating a positive experience for those seeking Vermont Foodbank services.

This position is regularly called upon to support general warehouse activities, which may include food reclamation activities, storage and moving of product and equipment, and other various tasks. This position will work closely with the Warehouse and Facilities teams and members of the Community Impact Department. Building equity and social justice into Vermont Foodbank’s organizational practices is everyone’s responsibility, and it requires the commitment and collaboration of every employee and team.
