Your role will focus on ensuring a safe workplace through operational and administrative support.
In this position, you will assist the Environmental, Health, and Safety department with various administrative tasks. Engage in activities such as conducting floor assessments, leading safety training, and coordinating safety drills. This role also requires you to maintain EHS documentation and collaborate with the operational team for continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular production floor assessments and investigations
• Schedule and lead safety training for new hires
• Prepare and distribute EHS-related documentation
• Coordinate waste pickups and EHS events
• Maintain organized EHS files and records
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in EHS programs (excluding JHSC)
• 1-2 years of applicable experience in EHS
• JHSC certificate preferred
• Strong communication skills and technology competence
