Hourly wage: $21.43
What will I be doing?The Supervisor is the living, breathing example of the energy, positivity and proactivity that is required for promoting and selling Blue Mountain Resort products, services and activities. The Supervisor must rely on comprehensive knowledge of our products, services, policies and procedures and share that daily with the team. The incumbent will lead by example through a proven ability to enhance a guest's overall experience.
- Set clear service expectations for staff; supervise, motivate, coach, and recognize performance of team members. Address, manage and document performance shortfalls as they happen. Conduct performance evaluations and initiate plans to help motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Train and lead front‑line staff; ensure day‑to‑day operation and ongoing coaching and development are geared to deliver the highest degree of sales, service, safety and guest experience. Leverage and involve other departments as necessary. With oversight from Manager, develop SOPs and other training documents.
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship with Culinary Leaders, chefs and cleaning staff. Develop and possess an extensive knowledge of the menu.
- Oversee and, when necessary, help the team complete daily tasks by performing such work as serving, cashiering, completing opening/closing duties, bussing tables, etc.; manage a cash float, balance and reconcile daily sales, balance safes, and complete daily reporting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests and/or group conveners. Be confident in managing guest expectations and seamlessly ensuring satisfactory service recovery.
- Accountable for department area daily maintenance of equipment, supplies and amenities.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have Smart Serve Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
- Minimum of three years of serving experience.
- Previous supervisory, training, coaching, and performance management experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous POS systems experience an asset.
- Reliable, punctual and professional in presentation.
- Ability to monitor and impact the bigger picture and the bottom line through strategizing to improve existing systems and sales procedures.
