Roles and Responsibilities- Coordinating all aspects of the Town’s capital budget process
, including cash flow forecasting, financial analysis and funding strategies. - Leading Development Charges Background Study (DCBS) updates
, along with a variety of other Finance projects and initiatives. - Maintaining the Long‑Range Financial Plan (LRFP) and supporting financial forecasting, including reserve forecasting and financial sustainability analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
- Overseeing capital accounting, tangible capital asset reporting
, general ledger reconciliations, and legislated financial reporting requirements. - Providing financial reporting, analysis, and support to Council and departments.
- A university degree in business, finance, or related discipline.
- CPA designation is required.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in accounting and finance field, preferably in a municipal environment.
- A valid Class "G" driver’s licence in good standing and reliable vehicle to use on corporate business.
- Availability to attend evening and/or weekend meetings or other events as required.
