Operations and Budget Manager

Position: Full-Time Operations and Budget Manager
Join Georgian College as the Operations and Budget Manager in Facilities Management at the Barrie Campus. In this full-time position, you will spearhead budget processes, project oversight, and financial reporting strategies.

This role requires an experienced finance professional to support capital planning and monitor departmental budgets. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will ensure compliance with fiscal regulations while developing forward-looking reports and financial models that align with college objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement timely setup and closure for capital projects

• Lead operational budget development and reconciliation

• Prepare government-mandated financial reports for funding projects

• Collaborate with executive staff on major financial decisions

• Oversee annual budget reviews and variance resolutions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with CPA, CA, CGA or CMA

• At least 7 years of financial management experience

• Proven skills in budget development and analysis

• Strong background in financial reporting and forecasting

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel applications
