- Provide an exceptional client experience by delivering superior business and financial advice.
- Develop a needs‑based sales strategy for all clients and prospects to grow revenue, deepen relationships, and achieve a high standard of client loyalty.
- Demonstrate portfolio management and risk mitigation through review of financial statements, identifying trends, monitoring risk, and assessing for credit restructuring.
- Leverage sales‑enabling tools, including sales planning, prospecting, and pre‑call planning tools.
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal subject‑matter specialists to develop and execute a client contact strategy.
- Leverage RBC’s expertise by identifying referral opportunities and making introductions together with appropriate referrals to RBC partners.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of commercial banking experience.
- Proven track record in business development and exceptional client relationship management.
- Passion for providing quality advice and fulfilling client needs.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Credit skills, including assessment of risk, financial analysis, credit structuring/solutions, and deal presentation.
- Specialized industry expertise in a past role (e.g., public sector).
- Experience with emerging communications and technology (web‑based meetings, social media, digital banking, mobile applications).
- Entrepreneurial attitude and self‑motivation to achieve above‑average results.
- Experience with responding to requests for proposals and negotiating banking contracts.
- University degree, ideally in commerce, business administration, or related field.
- Continuous learner with a deep curiosity for understanding diverse customers and staying up‑to‑date with changes in client needs, procedures, and relevant products.
- Bilingual (French/English).
