Join our team as a Housekeeping/Laundry Attendant!

Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Housekeeping/Laundry Attendant is responsible and accountable for providing optimum cleaning and laundry services to promote the well‑being of each individual resident.

The primary focus of this role is resident care and safety, alongside adhering to operational guidelines. Key responsibilities include shared accountability for maintaining lodge equipment and residents' personal possessions, and ensuring health and safety by adopting safe practices, immediately reporting unsafe conditions, attending mandatory safety training, and complying with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.

We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:

• Experience with environmental services preferred.

• Must demonstrate good communications skills.

• Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education.

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

• Prior experience in Retirement Lodge/Hospitality Industry an asset.

• Vulnerable Sector Police Record check as required under either the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 81(2) and Ontario Regulation ss. 252(1) or the Retirement Homes Act, 2010, Reg 13(1‑6).
