- Oversee operations of the Housekeeping Department and ensure departmental productivity objectives and service quality standards.
- Establish and maintain cost‑control system for linen and cleaning supplies inventories.
- Oversee budgeting, ordering and receiving of supplies.
- Inspect and manage the quality of housekeeping services within set timelines.
- Schedule staff according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy.
- Comply with and report information on housekeeping activities and expenses.
- Communicate with Guest Services on the status of guest rooms.
- Provide training and career development for housekeeping staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for employees.
- Provide input to the department’s annual budget, monitor and report variances against plan, and keep track of labour costs.
- Comply with Hotel Policies and Procedures for security and emergency procedures.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in a 3+ star hotel as a Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Previous supervisory experience including scheduling, training, development, performance appraisals and administering disciplinary actions.
- Superior people‑management skills, customer service, conflict‑resolution skills and dedication to customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Committed to results through flexible scheduling, consistent follow‑up and leadership by example.
- Highly productive, energetic, attentive to detail and a positive attitude.
