We are looking for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator – an individual who thrives on executing a consistent, accurate and timely payroll.
What You Will Do- Process payroll. Support the regular payroll processing for salary, hourly & commission employees, working with area leaders to ensure timesheet accuracy and support an error‑free payroll run.
- Administer groups benefit & retirement programs. Work with third‑party benefit providers and administrators to support employee enrollment and troubleshooting in group benefit and retirement programs.
- Supporting payroll and finance activities. Participate in end‑of‑year payroll activities and business/government payroll requests with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy.
- Offer exceptional customer service. Act as a primary point of contact for all employees regarding payroll & benefit questions and concerns with a focus on professionalism and support.
- Education & Experience. A minimum of 5 years leading payroll functions for an organization, preferably manufacturing with greater than 500 employees. A formal payroll designation is considered an asset.
- Technical understanding and experience within UKG Pro. In addition to regular payroll processing, understanding the administration elements of the platform needed to keep the system current. Preferably at least 5 years experience.
- Dedication to the craft. Understanding that timely and accurate payroll is an integral component of the employee experience at Southmedic and executing daily to meet that objective.
- Precision & attention to detail. Recognizing that small errors can have a significant impact and taking pride in identifying and eliminating issues before they reach the employee.
- Strong sense of integrity & confidentiality. Handling sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Motivation for continuous learning. Regular pursues education and training – UKG training courses, Canadian Payroll Association, etc…

Annual Salary Range – $65,000‑$80,000
