Transform lives as an Employment Specialist:
Community Liaison at YMCA in Midland, ON. This key role supports clients in their job searches by providing vital coaching and fostering employer partnerships.
With a dynamic, high-energy approach, you will serve as the crucial link between job seekers and the local employment market. Your responsibilities will include conducting workshops, coaching clients through the job search process, and promoting YMCA’s programs to employers. Engaging with community resources and labor-market data, you'll enhance the delivery of employment services for both clients and businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate client coaching sessions and workshops
• Build and maintain strong employer relationships
• Manage employer database and compliance
• Deliver engaging presentations on labor-market insights
• Oversee client placements and progress tracking
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in career counseling or related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in employment services
• Proficiency in MS Office and case management tools
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
