Join the City of Barrie as a Building Project Coordinator, enhancing service delivery and systems in the Building Services Department. This position supports critical projects in a temporary full-time capacity.
With a focus on managing process improvements, you will coordinate change initiatives that impact both departmental and community experiences. Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, and develop training resources that ensure clarity and compliance with building standards. This role emphasizes effective communication, project oversight, and training facilitation, contributing to the overall success of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate project planning and implementation processes
• Create public information tools and training materials
• Lead training sessions for staff on new initiatives
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports
• Directly address risks and stakeholder concerns
Requirements:
• Three years of relevant project management experience
• Knowledge of change management principles
• Proven skills in communication and resource development
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver’s Licence
• Eligibility to pursue PMP certification
