We are looking for a thoughtful and capable leader to oversee wellness and recovery services in Barrie, Ontario. This position combines operational management, clinical guidance, and team leadership to support high-quality mental health and addictions care for patients, families, and community members. The successful candidate will help strengthen an integrated model of care that is trauma-informed, culturally safe, and respectful of Indigenous approaches to healing and wellness.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and practical guidance to counselling, wellness, and addictions staff to support strong clinical practice and consistent service delivery.

• Coordinate interdisciplinary case discussions and contribute to sound decision-making for complex situations, including risk review and care planning.

Lead initiatives that improve program quality, service outcomes, and reporting processes across wellness and recovery services.

• Supervise team members through regular coaching, performance conversations, and development planning that encourages growth and accountability.

• Partner with Human Resources on recruitment support, onboarding activities, orientation, training coordination, and workplace matters such as conflict resolution and compliance requirements.

• Oversee daily operations for mental health and addictions programs, including staffing coverage, scheduling considerations, and continuity of care during planned or unexpected absences.

• Work closely with senior leadership to shape referral processes, balance workloads, and support the development of clinical programs, policies, procedures, and care pathways.

• Monitor access to services, program effectiveness, and adherence to best practices to promote equitable care and a consistently high standard across programs.

• Chair or contribute to team and leadership meetings, share operational updates promptly, and support a respectful, safe, and collaborative workplace culture.

• Participate in health and safety activities, including committee involvement, to reinforce safe working practices across the department.
