Be an integral part of the E-VIBE team as an E-Mediator, focusing on preventing youth violence through social media interventions. This role is part-time and contract-based.
Children & Youth Services is searching for two individuals for the E-VIBE initiative. As an E-Mediator, you will analyze social media content to mitigate risks and promote safety among vulnerable youth. Your contributions are vital to fostering a safer environment in the GTA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete necessary E-VIBE training
• De-escalate incidents of online violence
• Analyze trends leading to conflict
• Identify concerning social media posts
• Lead community workshops on prevention strategies
Requirements:
• In-depth knowledge of popular social media platforms
• Experience with at-risk youth and social issues
• Strong commitment to addressing anti-Black racism
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
