Join us for the 2026 Kidney Walk and help support Canadians living with kidney disease. Whether you're looking to complete community involvement hours, gain event experience, meet new people, or give back to your community, we'd love to have you on our team!

The Kidney Foundation of Canada is a national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding innovative research, providing education and support, promoting access to quality healthcare, and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

We are looking for Event Day Volunteers to support the 2026 Simcoe Kidney Walk
.

Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026

Time: 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: St. Vincent Park (60 Blake St, Barrie, ON L4M 1J9)

As an Event Day Volunteer, you may assist with:

• Event set-up and take-down
• Welcoming and registering walk participants
• Route marshaling and cheering on walkers
• Supporting event staff to ensure a safe and successful event

This is a great opportunity for you to:

• Make a meaningful impact for people living with kidney disease
• Gain hands‑on event and customer service experience
• Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Meet new people and connect with volunteers and professionals from across Ontario
• Earn community involvement hours
• Receive a recognition letter for your volunteer service

• Minimum age: 13 years old
• Comfortable working outdoors
• Able to lift and carry light event materials, if required
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous volunteer experience is welcome but not required

All volunteers will receive event information before the walk, including meeting location and volunteer assignments. On-site orientation and support will be provided by Kidney Foundation staff.
