You will be a welcomed team member, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Cook
, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while gaining an understanding of residents’ dietary needs, preferences, and cultural considerations. You will contribute to creating enjoyable dining experiences that support residents’ health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

• You have hands-on experience preparing meals and snacks in a fast-paced kitchen, following recipes, production sheets, and menu guidelines.
• You understand the importance of meeting prescribed dietary requirements, proper food temperatures, and portion control while maintaining high quality standards.
• Monitoring quality of food supplies received and advises team leader of problems and makes recommendations about corrective action
• In the absence of the team leader, assumes responsibility for departmental operations including menu changes as necessary, requisitions and purchases food and other supplies from authorized suppliers

• Grade 12 minimum education required
• A valid Safe Food Handling Certificate and/or Smart Serve certificate
• Experience with cooking in institutional, health care, restaurant, or hospitality
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position
