Serve patient meals at Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, using food preparation knowledge and accurate meal delivery practices. Support patients, families, and staff through dependable food services.
This part time Dietary Aide works under the Manager and Food Services Supervisors. Duties include patient meal orders, quantity food preparation, cafeteria service, supply stocking, and cleaning. The position requires knowledge of hospital diets and nutritional values, alongside adherence to GBGH standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and retrieve patient meals accurately and promptly
- Prepare quantity food and take patient meal orders
- Serve customers and stock cafeteria supplies
- Complete cafeteria cleaning duties and maintain sanitation
- Follow GBGH dietary standards and procedures
- Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent
- Minimum one year institutional or establishment food service experience
- Ministry of Health recognized Food Safety Certification
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
- Manual dexterity and numerical ability for iPad POS operation
