Job Description
As a Showroom Consultant, you will provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to our customers. You will ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction in order to meet or exceed the sales and gross profit targets while increasing profit-sharing.
Additional duties will include:
Assist showroom customers in assessing their needs, directing their product selections, and closing the saleDevelop and build strong relationships with designers, home builders and architects to grow profitable salesProvide customers with quick reliable quotes and accurate delivery datesMeet or exceed monthly product specific sales and gross profit targetsEnter orders and quotes in the system, expedite purchases while maintaining proactive communication with customersInvestigate and resolve customer issues; address short payments and returns in a timely fashion that exceeds the customers’ expectations and benefits of the Profit CentreMaintain product literature to ensure most current information is available to customersDrive showroom sales through promotions and maintaining display materialsUnderstand and follow all safety regulations at all customer locations as well as at the Profit CentrePerform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre ManagerQualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent;
College and/or University degree an assetA minimum of 2 years of experience with customer service or sales; plumbing, kitchen or bathroom showroom sales preferredValid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstractAbility to gain comprehensive knowledge of products on display at the Showroom, able to suggest appropriate product to suit customers’ needs and promote the value-added servicesKnowledge of kitchen and bath design trendsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareOutstanding customer service and verbal communication skillsExcellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammatesAble to identify customer needs, provide solutions and close the salePossess excellent project management skillsAble to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process ordersIntermediate math skillsPreferred
