Job Summary:
As a Solar Sales Advisor, you will educate homeowners and businesses about the benefits of solar energy and guide them through the process of transitioning to solar power. You will consult with prospective customers, assess their energy needs, and develop customized solar solutions. This role is responsible for managing leads through the entire sales cycle—from initial consultation to signed agreement—while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual or in-person consultations with prospective clients to assess energy usage and solar suitability
- Educate customers on the financial, environmental, and long-term benefits of solar energy
- Present customized solar proposals and system designs tailored to customer energy needs
- Guide customers through the decision-making process and address questions or concerns
- Manage and follow up with leads through the CRM to maintain a healthy sales pipeline
- Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to company revenue goals
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system
- Stay current on solar industry trends, provincial incentives, net metering policies, and regulations
- Collaborate with design, operations, and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation
- Improve the sales process to increase conversion rates, improve our CRM, and improve customer experience
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, customer service, or consultative selling
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and relatable way
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with CRM and proposal software (Close CRM, Solar Graf, Aurora Solar)
- Ability to manage multiple prospects and maintain consistent follow-up
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the solar or renewable energy industry
- Knowledge of Canadian solar incentives, net metering programs, and financing options
- Experience selling home improvement, energy solutions, or high-value products
- Experience working with CRM and proposal software (Close CRM, Solar Graf, Aurora Solar)
