Lead and train apprentices at Alectra in Barrie as a Technical Trades Supervisor. This full-time role emphasizes training program development, performance evaluation, and partnership with management.
As a Technical Trades Supervisor, you will facilitate training for Powerline Technicians and apprentices. Your focus will include conducting needs analyses, developing training materials, and overseeing apprenticeship programs. Key responsibilities also involve assessing performance and ensuring adherence to safety standards in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct training needs analyses for apprentices
• Develop and maintain Apprentice Program Guide
• Deliver orientations for new trainees and co-op students
• Evaluate apprentices to ensure compliance with standards
• Partner with teams to enhance apprentice learning opportunities
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in related field
• Five years of training experience in trades
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS software
• Valid Class G driver’s license
