Rigging Inspection and repair technician
Full-time – Permanent – On-site

Your role
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the incumbent is responsible for inspecting rigging products, identifying defects or failures, conducting repairs and tests, preparing test certificates, and ensuring that all work meets applicable safety and quality standards.
Your responsibilities
- Operate test beds
- Conduct repairs and test rigging products
- Apply knowledge of working load limits for slings, hoisting products, fittings, and wire
- Identify flaws or causes of failure during inspections
- Maintain communication and effective time management
- Ensure proper handling of tools and protection of customer products
- Apply inspection criteria for slings
- Create and complete test certificates
- Package and prepare products for shipping
- Report any damaged or unsafe equipment
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and semi‑annual inspections as required - Assist other employees and perform other related duties as required
Profile sought
We are looking for an organized, detail‑oriented, and motivating individual who:
- Must be able to read measurements (imperial and metric)
- Needs to have knowledge of rigging products and inspection practices
- Is required to know how to use a vernier and other measuring instruments
- Is expected to demonstrate good manual skills
- Must have good physical ability
- Needs to be able to work in a team
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must be reliable
- Needs to maintain order and organization
- Is expected to have strong organization skills
- Must be resourceful
Required skills
- High school diploma
- Experience in rigging inspection, repair, and use of test beds (an asset)
