Heavy Equipment Operator at Springwater

Drive impactful results as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Township of Springwater. This full-time union position involves operating various heavy machines, ensuring efficient construction and maintenance.

We are seeking two permanent full-time Equipment Operators to join our dedicated team. Candidates should have at least two years of experience and possess an Ontario Class D license. Responsibilities include using equipment like graders and excavators for repair work, as well as engaging in manual labour to support the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment

• Perform manual labour such as pothole patching

• Maintain accurate equipment records and timesheets

• Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks

• Use pumps for loading materials during seasonal tasks

Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma

• 2 to 5 years of related experience

• Valid Ontario Class D license; AZ preferred

• Knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance

• Ability to work extended hours and on-call
