Heavy Equipment Operator at Springwater

The Township of Springwater seeks two permanent, full-time Equipment Operators / Labourers. Contribute your operating skills to vital public works projects while engaging with state-of-the-art heavy machinery.

As an Equipment Operator, you will work under the Roads Supervisor to maintain and enhance the municipality's infrastructure. With a strong focus on safety and efficiency, you will operate various machines, from graders to heavy-duty trucks, and perform essential tasks such as pothole patching and drainage repairs. Candidates should possess a valid Ontario Class D license and a solid understanding of safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery for road maintenance and repair

• Conduct safety inspections and documented maintenance records

• Engage in physical labor for construction services

• Maintain compliance with municipal regulations

• Perform timely vehicle inspections and keep logs

Requirements:

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

• 2-5 years of experience with heavy equipment

• Valid Ontario Class D license; AZ is preferred

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance

• Availability for overtime and on-call shifts
