Industrial Maintenance and Mechanical Technician

Full-time – Permanent – On-site

$52.000 to $72.000 per year

Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, the incumbent performs preventive maintenance and upkeep of machines, tools, equipment and the building and performs emergency repairs as required.

• Analyze equipment breakdowns and operating problems and find solutions
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance in accordance with ISO standards and procedures
• Make the necessary adjustments to current and future equipment (robot, stripper, press, reel, unwinder, placer, etc.) and make the necessary repairs to the equipment
• Maintain interior and exterior buildings (offices and plants)
• Perform welding, machining, and carpentry tasks
• Carry out commissions and purchases (ex: BMR)
• Participate in the training of new employees
• Respect work procedures and deadlines
• Respect ISO standards and procedures
• Respect health and safety standards in the workplace

• Must be able to read measurements (imperial and metric)
• Needs to have knowledge of mechanics, electricity, machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Is required to know how to use a vernier and other measuring instruments
• Is expected to demonstrate good mechanical skills
• Must have good physical ability
• Needs to be able to work in a team
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be reliable
• Needs to maintain order and organization
• Must be resourceful

• Professionnal diploma in industrial mechanics or equivalent (an asset)
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in mechanic or industrial maintenance
