Monday to Thursday, 2:30pm to 1:00am OR Tuesday to Friday, 2:30pm to 1:00am
Compensation: $41.29 plus $2.50 shift premium per hour ($43.79/h)
The 310T Truck & Coach Technician at Miller Waste Systems is responsible for maintaining and repairing company vehicles in compliance with safety, ministry, and company standards. This includes diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, performing road tests and service calls, and ensuring accurate maintenance records to support safe and reliable fleet operations.
Responsibilities- Complete service, maintenance and repairs of all Company vehicles to Ministry and Company standards and procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently and minimize equipment downtime.
- Repair waste vehicles, trucks and other company vehicles, as needed.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic/electrical systems.
- Complete road tests on serviced vehicles/equipment.
- Complete work orders with on hand tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret manufacturer/operator manuals.
- Maintain all service records and files for vehicle maintenance.
- Respond to “on-road” service calls, as required.
- Complete preventative vehicle maintenance according to established MWSI policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all equipment, vehicles and work areas always comply with safety policies and regulations.
- Additional projects and duties as assigned.
- A safety-first attitude with familiarity with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
- Hands‑on experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's Licence, along with any other required licences, and a minimum 'G' Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Team mindset and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Flexibility with scheduling as delays in the truck schedule may require work outside regular hours and occasional weekend work.
