Algonquin Outfitters is hiring a Ski & Snowboard Technician to join our Huntsville team for the fall and winter season. Experience with ski or snowboard tuning and repair is an asset, but it is not required for the right candidate. Strong technical or mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn are equally valuable, and we are prepared to train someone who has the right approach and aptitude.

• Ski & Snowboard Service – inspect, tune, wax and repair skis and snowboards while following AO service standards.
• Equipment Setup – assist with fitting, setup and service work based on your training and experience.
• Problem Solving – diagnose maintenance and repair needs and help determine the right solution.
• Quality, Safety & Service – work carefully, follow procedures, communicate clearly with customers and help keep jobs moving smoothly.

• Previous ski or snowboard tuning, repair or shop experience is an asset, but not required.
• Strong technical or mechanical aptitude and confidence learning to use tools and equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and the patience to complete precise work correctly.
• Dependability, organization and pride in the quality of your work.
• An interest in skiing, snowboarding and outdoor equipment, plus a willingness to keep learning.

We are open on weekends and some holidays, especially during the busy winter season, so availability during these times is important. More than anything, we are looking for someone who is careful, dependable, technically inclined and trainable.
