Job Description What Is the Opportunity? Insurance Claims AdministratorUnder moderate supervision, this position is responsible for managing the administration of claims lifecycle for service related claims inthe transportation service line for the company. This position partners with representatives in the organization including the fleet manager, the VP of Operations, and the President, as well as adjusters from various insurance companies to ensure the efficient submission and administration of service-related claims. Responsibilities within the team include building customer and vendor relationships, updating and managing the incident report and claims databases, and handling numerous other duties and projects.
This position does not manage others.
- CLAIM OPERATIONAL SERVICE AND PARTNERSHIPS:
Partners with claim professionals to assist with the timely resolution of claims, which may include: working with operational teams to ensure appropriate documentation of incidents is provided and updated in the incident/claims record, including notes and comments, requests reports and records. Reviews incident reports. - DATA AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:
Maintains accurate records and information management, such as: prepares, generates, and reviews reports using the most effective technology. Updates data discrepancies identified in reports and systems. Prepares operational reports for claim professionals and managers. Accurately documents pending and completed work activities using appropriate systems. - FINANCIAL CONTROLS AND ASSESSMENTS:
Performs underlying controls and effectively communicates findings. Assesses the reasonableness of data as well as identifying discrepancies, including reconciliations. Assesses the effectiveness of controls. Prepares data entries in accordance with established standards. - MAINTAINING THE INCIDENT REPORT DATABASE:
Includes daily maintenance of the Incident report database, including management of all incident report submissions. Ensuring all required documentation and images are provided. Responsible for categorization of the recorded claims and root cause analysis on selected incidents. - Responsible for manage the claim life cycle from claim submission to closure.
- Experience utilizing computer technology such as Microsoft Office, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software.
- Smartsheet experience is a big plus.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year of service-related work experience OR bachelor’s degree required.
