Advocate Health Care is looking for a CT Technologist to join our Libertyville, IL team.

$34.90/hr – $52.35/hr

• Production of scans, positions, and immobilization of patients.
• Select proper technical factors.
• Ensure patients are well informed about procedures and positioning information.
• Perform diagnostic procedures with sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology to independently select and modify technical factors for optimum results.
• Capture appropriate exam charges, update procedure files, and enter reimbursement codes in the HIS/RIS Computer System; train and oversee department personnel following HIS/RIS procedures; check daily logs for completion of exams.
• Verify that PACS receives all procedures for radiologist interpretation.
• Provide radiation protection per safety standards.
• Maintain records, orderliness, and cleanliness of the CT suite.
• Perform quality control tests, document results, and maintain a quality protocol to enhance and computerize images.
• Complete assigned CQI projects and mandatory in‑services.
• Perform 3‑D reconstruction, CT angiography, and proficient use of AWW work station.
• Inject appropriate contrast material into a vein to visualize structures under radiologist supervision and departmental guidelines.
• Stay aware of technological changes and advances in CT.

Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiology technology with certification by ARRT, minimum six months of CT experience, and CT registration within six months of hire. IEMA accreditation and CPR certification are required.

• Ability to mentor and educate radiology technologists in proper CT scanning techniques.
• Technical background in computers.
• Knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy.
• Prior experience with all age groups; ability to recognize needs and behaviors of specific age groups.

• Ability to lift and/or move patients.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with established time constraints.
• May be exposed to hazardous materials and life‑threatening diseases.
• Ability to work rotating shifts any day of the week.
