To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and executes strategies for referrals and admissions of residents including regular contact with potential referral sources including hospitals, physicians, insurers, case management companies and health care agencies.
  • Conducts admission screening of potential residents, services required, equipment needs and insurance coverage, as appropriate.
  • Complete admission paperwork and related documentation in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
  • Coordinates admissions with appropriate departments and staff.
  • Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Regularly contacts local community agencies to generate a positive image and encourage word-of-mouth referral activities.
  • Ensures good communication to establish a quality resident orientation to the facility.
  • Conducts tours of facility with potential residents and family members.
  • Helps create an atmosphere of optimism, warmth, and interest in resident’s personal and health care needs.
  • Participates in facility committees and audits, as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all resident information and facility business.
  • Reports to the administrator all complaints and grievances made by residents, families, visiting individuals, agencies, etc.
  • Pre‑admission financial meeting with family. Requesting all documents for Medicaid.
  • Checking insurance eligibility/MVP and KYMMIS
  • Complete SSA Map 14
  • LTC Medicaid (ensuring all documents are received from resident/responsible party for the application)
  • Completing the insurance report to include keeping track of all transfers in and out of the facility.
  • Assisting residents in changing their insurance
  • Resident escrow receipt filing
  • Signing residents up on Medicare A, B, & D
  • Assisting with Accounts Receivable duties and serve as backup
  • Prepare and send letters to residents/families
  • Assist with daily deposits
  • End of the month Ancillaries
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator
