We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and skilled Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood community. The Toddler Teacher creates a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment for children ages 18 months to 3 years old. This educator understands the importance of responsive relationships, play-based learning, and supporting children’s growing independence, language, and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities- Create a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment for toddlers.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
- Support children’s emerging language, self-help, social-emotional, and motor skills.
- Foster curiosity, exploration, and independence through hands‑on learning.
- Observe children closely and document growth, interests, and milestones.
- Guide behavior with patience, consistency, and positive redirection.
- Maintain daily routines including meals, rest, toileting/diapering, transitions, and outdoor play.
- Build trusting relationships with children and families.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding daily experiences, progress, and needs.
- Partner with colleagues to create consistency and continuity of care.
- Participate in parent conferences, classroom events, and school community activities.
- Work closely with co-teachers and support staff in a team‑oriented environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and trainings.
- Follow all health, safety, licensing, and school policies.
- Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with toddlers in a group setting.
- Knowledge of child development and best practices for ages 18 months–3 years.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Warm, calm, and dependable presence.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
