• RI Certificate required, Elementary 1-6 certification
• Preference given to candidates who hold dual certification in elementary general and special education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Mastery of literacy practices, strategies, and standards for a literacy‑rich classroom environment
• Demonstrated knowledge in establishing, organizing and managing the learning environment
• Knowledge of “teacher as coach” practices
• Knowledge of services to English Language Learners
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish a cooperative working relationship with staff, principals, teachers and the central office

Reports To: Building Principal

To support teaching and learning at Hampden Meadows School as a full‑time member of the staff as a building‑based substitute teacher.

• Covering classes for teachers who are absent or released for professional development and/or team meetings
• Supporting teachers in the provision and documentation of interventions to include direct intervention, assessment, and progress monitoring
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the principal
