• RI Certificate required (Elementary 1-6 certification)
• Preference for dual certification in elementary general and special education
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Mastery of literacy practices, strategies, and standards for a literacy‑rich classroom environment
• Demonstrated knowledge in establishing, organizing, and managing the learning environment
• Knowledge of “teacher as coach” practices
• Knowledge of services to English Language Learners
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish a cooperative working relationship with staff, principals, teachers, and the central office

• Cover classes for teachers who are absent or released for professional development and/or team meetings
• Support teachers in the provision and documentation of interventions, including direct intervention, assessment, and progress monitoring
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the principal

Full‑time

• Bachelor degree preferred
