TITLE:

One to One Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS and

EDUCATION:

• BSN from an accredited school /program
• Current license as a Registered Nurse by the RI Department of Health
• Documented experience as a Nurse; (Pediatric experience preferred)
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal, Director of Pupil Personnel and RI Department of Health JOB GOAL:
Provide nursing support to a medically fragile student throughout the school day and during transport to and from school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Seizure precautions (Myoclonic seizures)
• G-tube monitoring
• Cueing on task
• Transitioning
• Navigation
• Safety and Independence
• Drill and Practice
• Adaptive equipment
• Assistive technology
• Carryover of educational and therapy goals
• Assist the classroom teacher and special education teacher with educational instruction for the student
• Riding the school bus to and from school
