The Production Team Member –Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our pontoon boats ranging from checking manufacturing processes, mechanical operation, and/or electrical/component checks and troubleshooting and resolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, adhering to established standards, and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products with a focus on Quality, Service, and Innovation.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of manufacturing processes, mechanical operation, and/or electrical and related components of pontoon boats to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Identify and document any defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.
- Work closely with the production and assembly teams to address and rectify any issues identified during inspections.
- Recommend quality control measures to enhance the overall product quality.
- Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommended actions.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and communicate them to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and customer service, to address and resolve issues identified during inspections.
- Provide feedback to improve the manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to the inspection process.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed during the inspection process.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to pontoon boat manufacturing and inspection.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifying opportunities to mitigate job‑related risks and hazards.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in quality inspection or quality control within the marine industry is a plus; willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of pontoon boat construction, systems, and components is a plus but not required.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills to convey inspection findings and collaborate with other departments.
- Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and regulations is helpful but can be learned on the job.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Experience working in a team‑focused manufacturing environment (preferred).
