Bottle Shop Assistant

Job Summary

Grapes & Grains, Inc. is an award‑winning boutique wine, spirit, and craft beer shop in Barrington, R.I. We’re looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, self‑starting, task‑oriented, and friendly Bottle Shop Assistant to join our highly admired beverage team.

• Support buyers and showroom maintenance.
• Branding, bagging, bottle maintenance, and cashier operations.
• Assist with shipping and other related duties.
• Create an upbeat environment and interact comfortably with customers.
• Participate in ongoing product training and testing to develop a working knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Must be able to spend the majority of shift on feet and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Prior retail or restaurant experience preferred.
• TIPS certification and Barrington Liquor Training required.
• Organized, systematic, detail‑oriented, merchandising, team player.
• Showroom awareness, personality, events involvement, ability to take initiative and maintain shop standards.

Part‑time; 10–20 hours per week, primarily evening and weekend shifts. Compensation will depend on experience, education, and sales ability.
