The Utqiagvik Trial Court of the Alaska Court System is accepting applications for a Full-Time Court Case Manager
2. Under general direction, this position performs a variety of clerical and technical functions in support of court operations. Employees transferring from another State of Alaska agency or applicants with prior legal work experience or education in the legal field may receive consideration for advance step placement.

Full-time primary responsibilities include:

• Case management
• In-court duties
• Customer service

The work hours for this position are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.

Employees are enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and the Alaska Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS) in lieu of contributions to Social Security, with access to the Alaska Deferred Compensation Plan. Personal leave is accrued for vacation, illness, or personal needs.

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND one year of advanced clerical work experience equivalent to a Court Case Manager 1 with the Alaska Court System or an equivalent position with another employer.

OR

Graduation from high school or completion of a General Education Development (GED) certificate AND completion of a two-year paralegal curriculum from an accredited institution.

OR

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college.

• Post-secondary transcripts, if using education to meet minimum qualifications.
• A list of at least three (3) professional references, who have had supervisory authority over you along with their daytime contact phone numbers and email addresses.
• Copies of your most recent (2) performance evaluations, if available.

Copies of transcripts are required to verify educational credentials used to meet or support the minimum qualifications for the position and are required with each application.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FOREIGN EDUCATION Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the minimum qualifications listed above. If utilizing this education, you must show that the education credentials have been submitted to a private organization that specializes in the interpretation of foreign educational credentials and that such education has been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs;

or an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution reports the other institution as one whose transcript is given full value, or full value is given in subject areas applicable to the curricula at the post-secondary institution. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
