We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected independent team in the Barry area. • Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year basic (Positioned directly within our standard bracket depending on experience) + high-yielding bonus scheme up to £41,000+.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00—stable weekday hours with strictly no weekend shifts or Saturday morning rotas.

As a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Barry technical team, you will:

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing
  , safety maintenance, and general mechanical repairs across a diverse range of makes and models.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop systems to systematically identify and resolve complex technical faults.
• Maintain high quality and safety standards to deliver clean "first-time fix" results while maximizing your bonus earnings.
• Participate in fully funded technical training to keep your skills sharp and up to date with modern vehicle systems.

• Qualifications &
  
  Experience:
  
  NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with a proven track record as a Technician or Mechanic. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
• Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential (max 6 points).
  An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
• Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
• Key Strengths: Customer-focused mindset, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, team-oriented work ethic.
