We are hiring an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our highly respected independent team in the Barry area. If you want a clean, modern workshop with advanced diagnostic tools, generous bonus earning potential, and absolute weekend freedom, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary (plus bonuses pushing earnings to £41,000+), permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (08:30–17:00, no weekends), and a proper technician-first culture.

Your RoleAs a vital Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Barry technical team, you will:
- Carry out routine vehicle servicing
, safety maintenance, and general mechanical repairs across a diverse range of makes and models. - Use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop systems to systematically identify and resolve complex technical faults.
- Maintain high quality and safety standards to deliver clean "first-time fix" results while maximizing your bonus earnings.
- Participate in fully funded technical training to keep your skills sharp and up to date with modern vehicle systems.
- Qualifications &
Experience:
NVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with a proven track record as a Technician or Mechanic. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it). - Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential (max 6 points).
An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required. - Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
