Assistant Coach For Cross Country

Under the direction of the Associate Dean/Athletic Director - Kinesiology, the Assistant Coach for Cross Country will perform the following:

• Assist in the planning and execution of the cross country program at Barstow Community College.
• Recruit competitive players.
• Plan and direct conditioning, training, practice and athletic performance of student/athlete team members.
• Maintain team statistics and records.
• Develop and maintain a close relationship with local high school coaches.
• Provide compliance with college rules and policies, the Commission on Athletics as well as other applicable regulatory agencies.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have either an Associate's Degree and six years coaching experience; OR a Bachelor's degree and two years experience;
• Must demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

A part-time, certificated position. Indexed to part-time faculty rate ($63-$68) on the BCFA Salary Schedule, plus a $3,000 stipend per semester.
