Game Management; Temporary​/Oncall

Barstow Community College is continuously recruiting for a pool of qualified applicants to support the Athletics program:

The Barstow Community College Game Management will work home game day events with various duties assigned by supervisor concerning game day events.

• Manage the scoreboard
• Run game clocks
• Track and report game statistics
• Serve as game announcer
• Retrieve and give balls at games
• Additional duties related to executing game day events as assigned by Supervisor

• Effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
• Ability to use a computer.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be able to give excellent customer service in a professional and timely manner.
• Must be able to work some weekends.
• Must be a team player who can work with the students, members of the community, and athletes.

• Requires reading, communication, and problem solving skills equivalent to a high school education or GED.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff

This position is a Short Term Temporary Assignment.

Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments; work with a variety of athletic equipment; exposure to noise, dust, unpleasant odors, and inclement weather conditions; work and/or walk on various types of surfaces including slippery or uneven surfaces. Positions may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
