US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities:
Respond to and investigate complaints and enforce federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD, Naval and Marine Corps regulations and installation directives;
Perform motorized, walking or bike patrols of installation and respond to emergency calls;
Conduct preliminary investigations relating to critical incidents aboard installations;
Subdue and disarm violators and provide first aid as needed;
Gather and analyze facts, seize and protect evidence, take statements, interview witnesses
